Welcome to the
Mayan Adventure

Adventure Center leads you to the magnific lands of Mexico, Guatemala and Belize!

featuring Cancun, Merida, Palenque, Panajachel, Flores, San Ignacio, Caye Caulker, Playa del Carmen

The Mayan Adventure will carry you through southeastern Mexico, Guatemala
and Belize
and you will experience the subtle and vast differences between each
country, its people and customs. Mexico is the third largest country in Latin
America and its geography ranges from swamp to desert, from tropical lowland
jungle to high alpine vegetation above the tree line, from thin arid soils, to other sorich that they grow three crops a year. Guatemala is a country of rare and varied beauty; chains of lush mountains and volcanoes, huge volcanic lakes and winding tropical rivers. And finally, Belize, wich is a peacefull, democratic and English speeking country.

Is it for me? This is a relatively undemanding trip, however there are some long travel days which passengers may find tiring. Conditions can be tough at times due to very hot, humid, tropical weather. The hotels used in this trip are generally simple but comfortable. The emphasis is primarily on ruins and culture, but the tour includes plenty of opportunity to pursue individual interests.

Included highlights:

  • Accommodation: 21 nights simple hotels (some nights may occasionally be multi-share).
  • Meals included: No meals included. Please allow $30 per day for additional expenses.
  • Transportation: Public bus, van, boat.
  • Adventure Rating: A relatively undemanding trip on which there is an emphasis on past and present cultures, with plenty of opportunity to pursue your interests.
  • Group Size: Maximum 12
  • Tour staff and support: G.A.P leader throughout, local guides while visiting the archaeological sites.

Excursion includes:
  • Chichén Itzá Ruins tour
  • Guided tour of Palenque Ruins
  • Visit of Chichicastenango Sunday market
  • Guided tour of Tikal Ruins and National Park
