the staff that ran the restaurant did not give the hotel gest good service. they were more interested in giving service to people who would walked up the beach.they would give them new chairs to use and the gest would get the old broken down ones,or if you sat there and drank to get drunk so they could get a good tip they then give good service.will not go back for that reason

heard they are under new management and had a different way of running things. Alot of the workers we talked to did not care for there new boss.They need to worry more about there paying customers than trying to pull tourists off the beach to get there money!

Eti did a great job in putting this whole thing together. My family loved it! The staff at the restaurant at the All Riviera were a bit stingy. For instance, one day the stove was not working so we could not get the usual cooked breakfast. When we said "OK, we will settle for a glass of juice and a fruit plate" they said no, "the choice is EITHER a glass of juice OR a fruit plate." Pretty silly if you ask me! Carlos at the All Riviera was great, as was Rennie (sp?) at the Mimi del Mar.

For me, the All Riviera was an excellent value. The positives of this hotel far outweigh the negatives. Not the Ritz, but clean, quiet, friendly, remarkably quiet - and right on the beach. The hotel is right around the corner from the bus station (couldn't be more convenient), and the fairly ample breakfast that was included in our room rate was very nice. Most of the staff were very accommodating and courteous (although some of our fellow guests were less than well-behaved). The only suggestions I would make for improving service at the All Riviera would be: (1) Make sure all rooms get cleaned every day [Our room was completely overlooked one day]; (2) Avoid repair and renovation projects during peak periods [Some fairly messy construction, painting, and wiring projects were going on during our stay]; (3) Work on the menu and supply of provisions in the café/bar [The breakfast menu seemed to change every day, shrinking to just a couple of items once or twice. The kitchen seemed to run out of basics (e.g., tea, corn tortillas, salsa verde, juice), and the lunch menu could use a bit more variety.] Of course, I will be glad to stay at the All Riviera again when I visit Playa del Carmen in the future. It's unpretentious, comfortable, and supremely well located.

Excellent location. Only a minute walk to the bus station and ferry dock to go on day excursions. Right around the corner from the pedestrian walk way, with wonderful restaurents. Clean hotel facilities. Polite and friendly staff. The beach is clean and so is the small pool. I highly recommend All Riviera Resort.
