Allegro Jack Tar St. Kitts is located only 3.5 miles from the airport, so it's easy to reach the resort via taxi.

Fares are fixed, and can be negotiated beforehand. Rates increase 50% between 10:00pm and 6:00am and there is an additional 20% for arranged trips between 6:00pm and 6:00am. Sample fares:

Getting To The Island: 

Jet service is usually to San Juan Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Virgin Islands or Antigua, with transfers to lighter aircraft for the final flight to St. Kitts. 

Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on St. Kitts, located approximately 2 miles from Basseterre, is capable of handling wide-bodied jets. 

Newcastle Airport on Nevis is approximately 1/2 mile from Charlestown. It can handle only smaller, twin-engine propeller aircraft.

St. Kitts & Nevis are located in the northern part of the Leeward Islands in the eastern Caribbean, 19 degrees north of the equator, separated by a channel two miles wide.   

Size:   

St. Kitts is 23 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest, encompassing an area of 68 square miles. The island's point of highest elevation is Mt. Liamuiga, at 3,792 feet. Nevis, the smaller island, lies to the south and is approximately 7 miles in diameter, covering a total of 36 square miles.
