Reception
Upon entering Waterfall Gardens, we hope you feel immediately at home. Whether it is due to our friendly staff or our warm reception area, we want you to enjoy yourself from the moment you arrive. Our welcome center was designed to show off the artisanship of our creative team members at Waterfall Gardens. If you look up, you will see 30 miles of caña brava, which line the ceilings throughout the reception, gift shop and dining areas. Each piece was placed by hand. That is just the beginning. We have created a one of a kind sink. If you are looking for the traditional knobs, you are out of luck. Replaced by stones, the knobs open a waterfall of water for hand washing.

Dining
When you make your trip to La Paz Waterfall Gardens make sure you plan your day around lunchtime. With our 4 Fork Rated Buffet, you will experience one of the best meals you will have while in Costa Rica. Our dining areas offer incredible views of the La Paz River Valley and the Poás Volcano.
When Waterfall Gardens opened in 2001, we were sure that seating for 150 would be plenty! However, tour operators and guests alike had a different idea. Due to the multitude of requests, we have added additional dining areas. If you have a larger group or a private function, we are able to set up a private dining area.
With the addition of our Peace Lodge Hotel, we are now offering waitress service for dinner in our upstairs dining room. Complete with fireplace and an incredible interior design, your dining experience will be comparable to few others.

Waterfalls
As you wander the trails of La Paz Waterfall Gardens your senses will delight at the five waterfalls that line the trail. Originally, the only way one could view the falls was by literally hanging over the side of the mountain, looking through trees and ferns, not very inviting for picture taking. With the construction of Waterfall Gardens, guests are afforded views from platforms above, below and in front of the falls for great photo opportunities.

Butterfly Observatory
Our Butterfly Observatory is the largest in the world. Spanning the length of a football field and reaching heights of 50 feet, this enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid the natural habitat.

Hummingbird Garden
Our Hummingbird Garden attracts 24 different species of the birds, more species than any other in Costa Rica and quite possibly the world. Approximately 57 different hummingbirds have been reportedly seen in Costa Rica and it is possible to see over 40% of them here!

Day Tours
We offer four diverse day tours for guests of the Peace Lodge including Sarapiqui Canopy Adventure, Rafting on the Sarapiqui, Poás Volcano and Doka Estate Coffee Tour and our Arenal Tour to Tabacón Springs.

Room rates are based on two person occupancy and include full menu breakfast and unlimited entrance to La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park, (a $21 per person per day value), $40 each additional adult, $20 each additional child.
